The 33rd International Public Meeting (and ICANN’s Tenth Annual Meeting) will be held at the InterContinental CityStars Hotel in Cairo. Participants will include policy makers, government representatives, country code Top Level domain managers, and internet businesses. The Meeting will basically follow the same format as all ICANN’s Annual Meetings, and discuss topics of interest and concern to a wide range of stakeholders.

The Meeting will focus on the usual areas addressing issues in ICANN’s mandate—Internationalized Domain Names (IDNs), an important milestone in Internet development; the Registry/Registrar businesses’ challenges and opportunities; and developments in the generic Top-Level Domains (gTLDs) space. There will be sharing of experiences among members of various supporting organizations and advisory committees. They will explain to the audience why they participate in ICANN and how to be involved and become registered. During the past few years, ICANN and the Internet community took great interest on the technical aspects of IDN, its policy dimensions and implications. Latest developments will be discussed  with the Internet community, while experiences and knowledge among the participants will be discussed. The final agenda will be available on 15 September 2008.
