The training basically has two parts: Optimizing for Universal Research and Just The Basics, SEO 101. The first part will teach the participants the basics of Google’s Universal Search, making them gurus of one of the top internet search engines of today. Google employs a lot of marketing listings such as news, maps, video and image search and so, being “found” (or perhaps, searched) in the right category is vital for these companies’ marketing needs. Those who will attend can also learn the different techniques utilized by Yahoo!, Technorati, Flickr, YouTube and other media to promote your company/web content.

One of the speakers for the first part of the training is Greg Jarboe, the president and co-founder of SEO-PR, a search engine optimization and public relations agency based in San Francisco and Boston. Mr. Jarboe is also Newsforce’s partner, a press release SEO tool developer. The second speaker is Amanda Watlington, Ph.D., owner of Searching for Profit, a marketing consultancy. Prior to setting up her own company, she was the director of an SEO firm. Her company concentrates on how companies can take advantage of the “new” media such as blogging, RSS feeds and other sorts to gain that marketing over others.

The second part of the training includes topics such as 10 Steps to Search Success, Persuading the visitor—5 ways to keep their attention and Measuring Success—8 Reports for Website Success. This part of the training is very vital for those who manage or own websites and would want to increase their profits from it. The speaker will include Matt Bailey, SiteLogic Marketing’s president and founder, and has a long list of past and current clients such as Goodyear, Hilton International, Samsonite and so on and so forth.
