DNCruise – Cruise for DomainersFeb 22

Written on February 22, 2010 at 11:48 pm, by Frank Michlick

What: DNCruise
Where: Miami, Key West, Cozumel
When: October 11-15, 2010
Who: Domainers
Price: Interior – $429, Ocean View – $489 (per person, double occupancy)

If you are attending T.R.A.F.F.I.C. – Miami, you could combine this trip with your visit to the Targeted Traffic Conference, as their event is from October 17-20 out of South Beach in Miami.

Chef Patrick Writes:

Let me warn you now, this will not be your typical domaining conference, because if you know me then you already know I do nothing in a “typical” way. I have already lined up a few great speakers, so yes there will be some structured activities on the agenda, but it will be very light. There will be a lot of networking and free time to enjoy the atmosphere. It will be a perfect blend between work and play, which means do not be afraid to bring your spouse to this event, in fact it’s encouraged.

I have already booked 66 cabins, which will hold up to 132 attendees, so be sure to grab your cabin before I sell out. Contact me by phone or email to book your spot on the cruise. Interior cabins without an ocean view are $429 per person. Cabins with an ocean view are $489 and if you require something more luxurious check with me on pricing. Those prices include all boarding fees, taxes, gratuities, room, food and most of your cocktails. Pricing is based on two attendees per cabin.

Considering what you get for your money, it’s an awesome value. This is the least expensive domaining conference out there. If need be, I can even work out a payment plan.

Be sure to visit the FAQ’s page for more information. If you still have questions let me know! I’ll be happy to answer any you might have.

“25 Years of .COM” Policy Forum, sponsored by VerisignFeb 3

Written on February 3, 2010 at 7:12 pm, by Frank Michlick

Verisign (NASDAQ: VRSN) will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the .COM gTLD with a Policy Forum and Gala and has also set up a website with a timeline of the development of .COM. The first domain name, symbolics.com, was registered on March 15th, 1985 and is today owned by domain investor Aron Meystedt.

.COM Policy Forum

The Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center Amphitheater

The Internet has been the source of — and increasingly, the forum for — some of the most interesting and controversial policy debates in recent times. Public policy has been challenged to keep up with the ever-evolving, fast-paced advances of the Internet and the often-perplexing economic and social questions that it raises.

This day-long event will feature thought-provoking keynote speakers and two engaging panel discussions that will bring together innovators, entrepreneurs, visionaries and Internet users to reflect on how we got here; to discuss the significant impact of the Internet on our economy, society and environment; and to focus on what the future of .com will hold.
